Apply for a Grant

Since 1928, the Zonta Club of Hamilton 1 has been serving and advocating for women and children locally and internationally.  The Zonta Club of Hamilton 1 is part of Zonta International which is a global organization of individuals, working together to empower women and their families worldwide through service and advocacy. We want to Build a Better World for Women and Girls.

The Zonta Club of Hamilton 1 is selecting local projects to fund with a specific mandate to address Mental Health and/or Housing and Food Insecurity that affect women and girls in Hamilton. Applications will be accepted up to and including February 15, 2026.

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

Our Main Causes

At Zonta International, we know women and girls face many challenges. While we would like to take on every issue, we know that we can go further together when we focus on our efforts in a few key areas as we build a better world for women and girls.

  • Ending Gender Based Violence – Zonta Says NO
  • Education Equality – Education is a Human Right
  • Climate Justice – Zonta Says NOW to Gender Equal Climate Justice
  • Women in Decision Making
